The Podoll Family: Abbaye de Senanque and Gordes

last week (yeah, we're getting a little behind on the posting), we went to a abbey called Abbaye de Senanque and a hillside town called Gordes. The abbey grows tons of lavender fields, but unfortunately we were not there in the right season to see them in full bloom. They had a really old church, and there are still tons of monks living there. There was a mass going on while we were there, and we kinda sat in the hall and listened to the singing. Maggie was really fascinated by it. She just squatted on the floor next to the door and was surprisingly quiet.

Then we went to a nearside town called Gordes. We had a delicious lunch, and did a little exploring. Because the town was on a hillside, all of the streets were really steep. There was an amazing view!!! =) It was the last of our French car adventures. All of the places we visited were really great, but my favorite has been the same since the first: Cassis.
