another great dinner in Barcelona

Thursday night we decided to try a vegetarian restaurant (after our meat lovers fest on Wednesday night). We got a recommendation from a local and headed off for Sesamo and our 8:30 reservation. The rain was coming down as we walked through dark side streets, wondering whether we were going in the right direction, feeling slightly on edge. But trusty google maps led the way -- the restaurant location not exactly where you'd expect from our soon to be meal experience.

We sat down to our large table, filling most the small restaurant (again, all 11 of us). There was one waiter and one cook, with the open kitchen right next to us. The cook came out to greet us and went on to suggest we do a tasting menu where he'd bring out all his suggested tastes -- and keep them coming until we were completely full. Wow... starting with homemade olives, to gnocchi with beet-hazelnut sauce, to warm chocolate fondue with strawberries... it was one of Heather and my top 5 meals ever. I'll come back to Barcelona just for this restaurant...
