Cassis

Yesterday we went to Cassis, a seaside town a half hour away from Aix. We stopped in Marseille on the way, so the mamas could go to the yarn store. We were going to meet them in a half hour, so we drove, looking for something to do. When we went to where they were meeting us, they weren't there and weren't for more than another half hour. But they got some cool stuff, but I don't think my dad wants to go back to Marseille soon.

Then we went to Cassis, got a little lunch, and went down to the windy beach. We waded for a while, Maggie enjoying herself fully when Claire and I pulled her over a big wave. Finally, I pulled off my sweater and jumped in. Everyone else followed, besides Sam and Amy. We had so much fun! Finally we were tired of being in the water, and got out. On the way back to our car, we saw an ice cream shop that we recognized! We remembered that it was the same as where we had had AMAZING gelato in Barcelona. Turns out they're everywhere! There's one two blocks away from our house in Aix and Paris. Yum yum yum! We're going back there! The place is called Amareno, for anyone who wants to try great gelato when they come to France.

We had a really fun day!! But the European vans aren't as big or as comfy as those back home.
